In this article, we take a closer look at HadinEEon's newest milk frother to date: The Variable Temperature Milk Frother. HaddinEEon sent us their product in exchange to stress test and review. The following HadinEEon milk frother review details our full experience with it.
I’ve noticed my growing affinity for all things coffee has started to seep into my home dynamic. When I’m craving a later morning, mid-afternoon, or evening cup of coffee, I try to share that craving by offering my wife or kids a cup as well. However, getting any takers usually means I have to make something fancy for them. Say iced coffee, cappuccino, latte, or some other yummy concoction. Well that whole process just got a lot easier since the HadinEEon automatic electric milk frother entered my life.
We all know there are several coffee-brewing accessories. Frankly, I see a lot of them as somewhat gimmicky. Rather, they aren’t something I see myself using on the regular. When I first looked at the HadinEEon frother I admittedly had those same reservations. But reading some of the unique features of the HadinEEon such as automatic frothing and heating quelled much of that apprehension.
When I got my hands on the HadinEEon frother, I was almost immediately sold. Reason being, the unit is obviously robust, durable, and built with high quality materials. It's in these areas where I'm most often disappointed when it comes to items such as this. They seem ready to break at any moment and usually stop working after a few uses, disposable I would say. Fortunately, the HadinEEon milk frother is the complete opposite of this.
HadinEEon Milk Frother review
The electric unit is compact and sturdy. The stainless frothing cup feels thick as if it would last a lifetime and the frothing apparatus is so simple, you might wonder how it even works. That’s basically the whole unit. So how does it work? Well, let me tell you, because the process is what absolutely sold me on the HadinEEon.
As noted, the HadinEEon has three basic pieces. The electric unit, the stainless cup, and a frothing device. So basically, the frothing piece is free from the cup and unit. It disassembles in about one second and has two set ups; one for frothing milk and the other for melting and mixing chocolate or the likes into said milk. Pour milk into the stainless cup (it has very usable markings that actually help), then take that frothing device and simply drop it into the cup. Put the lid on the cup and nestle it right into the unit.
The settings are all controlled by one simple button. Choose your milk temp (or cold froth) and a couple of minutes later its ready. I’ve made many cups of hot chocolate and several cappuccinos/lattes in the past couple of weeks and I am excited to share my results. First, I need to touch on a couple of other features of the HadinEEon that I find spot on.
This frother unit is really smart.
It spins that freestanding frother to perfection and heats efficiently and accurately. I can’t tell you how it’s done, but it works well and is easy to use. The stainless cup has a very thick bottom that allows the milk to heat evenly without burning onto the cup or affecting the flavor. Uniform heating is especially important when you want quality foam.
Fun Fact: Smaller foam bubbles are desirable because they will retain their structure and shape longer than large foam bubbles. If you want the technical science and chemistry of quality foam, check out some of Steven Abbot's research.
To illustrate the quality foam that this frother products, take a look at the closeup photo below.
This device's smart design becomes very apparent during this heating process. Additionally, that bottom holds the temperature after the milk is heated in case there is a slight delay with your coffee.
And finally, cleanup with the HadinEEon is simple given how it has no real moving parts. Basically rinse the cup and frothing device, wipe and dry and its ready to go for the next time.
In the past I would brew coffee in a variety of different methods, heat milk in the microwave (I know, what a caveman), then froth that milk and add it to the coffee. I've did all of this with varying results, especially if I had to add some syrup or flavor. My hot chocolate process is as follows: heat water, mix powder into water and cool it down with cold milk.
My kids have pretty much quit asking for it.
The Frother and Chocolate Milk
With the HadinEEon milk frother, things have changed. So first I whipped up a pumpkin cheesecake latte for everyone. I added some almond milk, a dash of syrup and set the HadinEEon to 140 degrees. A few moments later, I poured the results into an stout brew and my pickiest child soon responded with “it doesn’t even taste like coffee, I love it!”
A few days later I spent about four seconds changing out the frothing piece so I could melt chocolate directly into my warming milk and made the kids real hot chocolate. Same process as before, add milk, drop in chunks of chocolate and let the HadinEEon do the rest.
The results were met with rave reviews. The chocolate melted perfectly and mixed in great with the milk. I am working on “Dad of the Year”. I made more hot chocolate with double chocolate powder and the mix was perfect. The HadinEEon heats the milk while continually mixing the powder, no clumps (See photo below).
In concluding this HadinEEon milk frother review, this product is a great addition to the kitchen. I really don’t think it is one of the appliances that loses its shine after a few uses. It is practical and efficient. In the same amount of prep time, I found myself making and enjoying better drinks. And, I really think the HadinEEon is built to last, making regular use a reality.
I don’t usually like sugary drinks. So I asked the HadinEEon to whip me up a great cappuccino this morning…and take a look.
I like my sugar in a homemade cinnamon role. But I like my milk treated by HadinEEon.
