Let's be honest, as much as we all love coffee, drinking too much of it over long periods of time can bring some negative side effects. Some of these include some of these include acid retention, premature aging, and chronic health conditions or disease. So what's a health-conscious coffee lover to do in the face of these facts? on vitamins to offset the aforementioned issues. Approximately 68% of Americans already take vitamins or supplements to improve their general health or to get a daily boost. Until recently, options for healthy K cups® as a solution were relatively scarce. However, thanks to a new company called VitaCup you can now have your vitamins and coffee in one. However, the big question that many potential customers ask is whether Vitacup is legit. Check out our VitaCup review below to see how this healthy coffee pod option stacks up.
VitaCup Review: Intro
Regardless of how determined people are to take their vitamins daily, everyone forgets from time to time. This can become habitual and completely throw off your health plans and health goals. In comparison, almost no one forgets their coffee when leaving the house. What if you could have both in your pod? That's the premise behind VitaCup.
What Does VitaCup Consist of and Do?
VitaCup starts with a signature blend of high-grade coffee that's not only compatible with many Keurig systems, but also infused with actual vitamins the human body needs daily. In fact, the vitamins used are the ones that most people are deficient in. If you're sluggish during the day, chances are you're deficient in one of the B vitamins. I share the opinions of many others in saying that VitaCup will give you a definitive boost of energy that regular coffee, even in its caffeinated glory, simply doesn't. In simple terms, it's a different kind of boost that feels “natural” for lack of a better word. Each VitaCup pod contains B1, B5, B6 and B12. If your moods fluctuate, border on depression or you rarely see daylight, you're likely deficient in Vitamin D. VitaCup contains that, too.
The creators of VitaCup care about women's health, so folic acid (B9) and antioxidants are also essential ingredients of every VitaCup pod. It's literally coffee with a health kick. Vitamins alone can really eat into the budget. With so many currently on the market, it can sometimes feel like a crap shoot trying to discover what might work for any given issue. That's an expensive game, and they're not always effective. VitaCup has put in the time and research figuring it all out so you don't have to. Below is a bulleted list the vitamins found in VitaCup's proprietary blends.
- B1 – Thiamine – Helps digest carbohydrates and process alcohol
- B5 – Dexpanthenol – Supports adrenal health and reduces stress
- B6 – Pyridoxiine – Reduces inflammation, eases arthritis pain and PMS symptoms/ energy
- B9- Folic Acid – Promotes healthy hair, skin and nails along with helping the body to produce and maintain new cells / energy
- A+ – Antioxidants – Neutralizes harmful free radicals and helps eliminate them from the bloodstream
- B12 – Maintains energy levels, boosts mood and supports function of nervous system / energy
- D3 – Boosts immune health and fights depression

But What About the Taste?
Have you ever brushed your teeth and then taken a swig of orange juice? It's not pleasant, is it? Certain vitamins, like Vitamin C, create a similar effect with acidic coffee. VitaCup knows this because they tested 40 to 50 different vitamins before deciding on their final blends. Often times inherent vitamin flavors bias the coffee taste and serve as a constant reminder to your taste buds that this is “health coffee”. Anyone who's ever tried a healthy version of Oreo cookies can attest to the fact that they don't taste anything at all like Oreos. The best coffee health coffee on the market, doesn't taste like it. VitaCup's concerted efforts to stay true to a natural coffee taste result in a smooth and flavorful cup of coffee that's surprisingly deep. Their coffee makes for a smooth, tasty, and refined drink that will make you ask the vital question “There are vitamins in this coffee?”. VitaCup currently offers three flavors: VitaCup French Roast, French Vanilla, and Green Tea with Moringa. This upcoming June, they will be releasing three additional flavors to their growing selection of healthy K cups® . The flavors are: VitaCup Gourmet House Blend, VitaCup Decaf Gourmet Blend, VitaCup Breakfast Blend.
Check out our VitaCup French Roast Review for a full breakdown of one of their most popular healthy coffee pod blends.
( Why Moringa? Considered “The Miracle Tree”, Moringa is reported to successfully treat multiple health conditions including edema, stomach and liver conditions, neurodegenerative diseases, and certain cancers. It also improves the immune system, hair and skin conditions, bone health, acts as a fertility booster, maintains hypertension and cholesterol levels, and improves wound healing. Lastly, it's used as a water purifier and as a seasoning for culinary purposes due to its high protein content. If you're a green tea fan, choosing this one is a no-brainer. )

are there any negative side effects to drinking vitacup?
Hi Marga,
We aren’t aware of any. It’s a popular brand in our offices and we’ve heard very positive things about the effects and taste of VitaCup. If we hear any other feedback, we’ll be sure to post it here.
Drank 6 cups of vita cup so far.Tastes great but I don`t feel any better than I did before drinking other brands. Sounds like a rip off. Feel the same same when drinking cheaper brands.
Hi Jim,
Sounds like everyone has different responses to VitaCup. From our experiences, there was a noticeable jolt of natural energy that followed drinking a cup. Glad you enjoyed the taste though!
