In the quest to achieve the perfect cup of coffee, coffee lovers often find themselves experimenting with different variables. From upgrading their coffee machines to purchasing the most exotic coffee on the market, there are a number of ways to improve your coffee experience. However, you may be surprised by how many coffee lovers overlook the importance of the actual “grind“. What does the perfect grind have to do with your coffee experience? In short, everything.
Being that brewing coffee is a simple matter of chemistry, your coffee grind is very important in terms of both size and uniformity. Only a quality coffee grinder can deliver consistent, uniformly ground coffee that is neither too coarse nor too fine. That’s why an espresso grinder cannot be substituted for a high-end coffee grinder; although the two can use the same beans, espresso and coffee require different grinds specific to the water pass-through rate. Espresso pass-through times are in seconds, requiring a very fine grind; whereas, coffee is prepared in minutes, requiring a coarser grind. Coffee creation is as much a science as it is an art. So, investing in the right tools is critical.
When you invest in the best coffee grinder, your investing in a higher quality coffee experience….and that matters. As the saying goes, “life is too short to drink bad coffee” and having a good grinder will help ensure the best possible cup of magical brew possible.
Coffee that is ground to perfection produces that reliable elixir you need to be at your best, producing your best, and feeling your best. If you’re a person who values your coffee experience, a solid coffee grinder is not a bonus but a necessity.

You benefit from the specialty café quality without having to forfeit the time it takes to actually go to the shop and wait in line. And your wallet benefits from not having to replace a lesser-quality grinder that wears out quickly or doesn’t produce the needed grind. Capresso Infinity Coffee Grinder Review
Looking for a high quality coffee burr grinder under $100? Look no further than the Capresso Infinity Coffee Grinder built with a slow grinding speed option (<450rpm) which allows for very precise grinding. This makes for low heat grinds that help preserve the authenticity of bean flavor and taste. The Capresso Infinity is also particularly easy to clean and maintain with its upper compartments being very easy to disassemble. Cleaning poorly-designed coffee grinders can be a challenge so this added feature is a huge bonus in my personal book. The Capresso Infinity coffee grinder is a great pick for any coffee lover on a budget.

The Virtuoso is a paramount example of elegance, style, and function. While it wasn’t specifically built for espresso, the Baratza Virtuoso coffee grinder offers so many options that by properly adjusting factors like grind size, quantity, and tamp pressure, you can produce a perfect cup of espresso. With its powerful burr grinders, the Virtuoso grinder makes an excellent choice for drip coffee and an even better one for French Press. This high performing coffee grinder is an excellent upgrade option especially if you’ve been happy with the Encore.
