Pros: What we Like about the Soulhand Cold Brewer
Soulhand Cold Brew Maker Aesthetics
This cold brew coffee dripper looks fantastic and is in a class of its own. It’s modern, minimalist design makes it something that you will want to showcase in your kitchen. The design is very simplistic, but yet still has all of the necessary components to brewing a great cup of cold brew coffee. It comes with a bamboo lid that elevates this cold brewer's presentation to the next level. This product would make a perfect gift to any coffee lover you know and it looks much better than most other cold brew coffee drippers out there.
Soulhand Cold Brew Maker Design
The design of the cold brew coffee dripper simply makes sense and is very functional.
You have a chamber up top for adding the cold water and ice, followed by a control valve that monitors how much drip the coffee maker allows. Then you have the metal coffee filter and chamber for holding the coffee grinds, and below that you have the detachable pitcher that the finished product drips into. If done correctly, the cold brew dripping process should take about 4 hours from start to finish. This is pretty fast, and compared to other cold brew makers, it is very efficient.
The high-density stainless-steel filter is of very high quality and it does a great job filtering out the coffee grinds and producing a great cup of cold brew coffee. It is also very easy to clean and doesn’t get blocked. I also really like the wooden accents on the lid and middle section. They not only look great, but serve a dual purpose for covering the ice and then using that same lid to cover the cold brew once it is finished. Everything in the design of this coffee dripper was well thought out and executed at a high level. There are just the right number of components and nothing is duplicated or left out.

Cons: What Could Be Improved
Adjustable-Rate Valve
One drawback to the Soulhand cold brew coffee dripper is the adjustable-rate valve. This valve is essential to brewing a quality glass of cold brew and it is a bit too simplistic in my opinion. It would be nice if the valve had some numbers on it so you could easily gauge the rate at which the drip valve was at. It becomes more or less a guessing game trying to figure out how tight or loose to set this valve. The first time I used the valve, I had the setting on way too loose and the coffee came out very watered down. I was able to fix this issue the second time I brewed a batch of cold brew, but I wish there was an easier way to know for sure what setting to have the valve set at.
Taste
For this Soulhand Cold Brewer review, I used Electric City Roasting coffee. It's important for me to acknowledge here that I recognize taste is highly subjective. I'm also aware that certain coffees such as Bizzy Coffee are specifically designed for cold brew. Nonetheless, I went with a brand that I was well-familiar with for this test.
While many existing Soulhand Cold Brewer reviews suggest that this brewer produces a bright and brilliant coffee flavor, I didn't have exactly the same experience. Of course, there are many variables in this equation as everyone uses different coffee. Allow me to explain.
I drink a lot of cold brews and I found that the taste from my batches of cold brew using the Soulhand cold brew coffee maker was more mild in flavor compared to the cold brew I buy from the store. This actually makes sense because part of the selling point for this cold brewer is its efficiency and speed. You can produce a quality cup of cold brew with Soulhand's cold brewer in less than 4 hours. Typical cold brews are made by steeping coffee beans from 12 – 48 hours which will yield the strongest concentration.
Consequently, the flavor from this cold brewer comes out softer than store-bought cold brew that's been steeped for a longer period of time. Depending on your taste profile this may be a good thing as the subtle flavor offers a different experience. I admit contributing to this may have been a user error and maybe I need more practice brewing cold brew with this machine. With that being said, the coffee tasted closer to iced coffee than it did to traditional cold brew which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Conclusion
In concluding this Soulhand Cold Brew maker review, I'd say this is a very cost-effective, easy to use, efficient, and fantastic-looking cold brewer. Soulhand’s cold brew coffee maker is especially perfect for those who appreciate a more subtle cold brew experience. The product looks fantastic, has a super slick simplistic design, and is able to produce a quality cup of cold brew in less than 4 hours. For the price, it is well worth it and will be a great addition to any coffee lover’s arsenal of coffee makers and accessories. After trying out the cold brew maker, I am eager to try out some of Soulhand’s other coffee accessories and products.
