Summer is just on the horizon. And with it comes a spike in popularity of cold drinks such as iced coffees, cold brews, and smoothies. I admit to having 2 main pet peeves when drinking iced coffees in specific. First, is the condensation. Second, is the fact that the ice melts too quickly and I end up with a very diluted coffee. JavaSok, an incredibly simple but effective invention, was designed to address these concerns. There are literally thousands of JavaSok reviews that tout the awesomeness of this product, but I wanted to see for myself what the hoopla was about.
Again, JavaSok takes an incredibly simple concept and does it incredibly well. It's one of those inventions that doesn't seek to reinvent the wheel; but rather, make the wheel itself better.
For starters, the JavaSok is made of a very high quality 4mm thick 100% neoprene with superior stitching. Not sure what neoprene is? You're not alone. Basically it's a highly insulated, durable and flexible material that can withstand extreme levels of folding and stretching.
The JavaSok does a very good job of keeping your iced latte, cold brew, or iced coffee cold for a long period of time. As I write this review, I'm blown away that my iced coffee which rests unassumingly on my desk is still cold even after an hour. The ice cubes are still intact, and my iced coffee is still full flavored. I detected virtually zero signs of dilution which up to this point in my life, had been a necessary evil of drinking iced coffee. Funnily enough, I placed my JavaSok-wrapped iced coffee on a coaster out of habit (see image). It wasn't until many minutes later that I realized I didn't need one since the JavaSok deals with the condensation problem. No desk puddles!
Using the JavaSok even addressed a pet peeve I didn't even know I had. I had become accustomed to having to dry my hands after grasping my cup of iced coffee. With the JavaSok, this is obviously no longer needed. JavaSok uses a material that's very comfortable to hold and its cushiness would make my hands smile if they could. And it certainly beats a damp container. Gone are the days of wrapping your drink in a napkin.
You can purchase the JavaSok in a variety of sizes that fit Grande, Venti, and Tall from Starbucks, Dunkin, McDonald's, and other popular coffee brands.
- Small Java Sok fits Starbucks Grande, Dunkin Donuts Small, and McDonald’s Small.
- Medium Java Sok fits Starbucks Venti, Dunkin Donuts Medium, and Mcdonald’s Medium.
- Large Java Sok fits Starbucks Trenta, Dunkin Donuts Large, and McDonald’s Large.
I was impressed by how many different styles the JavaSok offers. The product itself was already practical. But with so many different designs to choose from, it's also distinctly stylish.
At the end of the day, I can say that the thousands of overwhelmingly positive JavaSok reviews out there are accurate. This product is a great example of how the simplest inventions done right are often the best. It's one a very reasonable priced product that has dramatically improved my experience of drinking cold brews.
